Erzincan-Erzurum highway receives ecological overpass for livestock

The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure has implemented an ‘Ecological Overpass’ project on the Erzincan-Erzurum highway to improve safety for both drivers and livestock. Located in the Çermik area, the steel construction overpass provides an alternative route for farmers and livestock breeders to move their animals across the road without entering heavy international and intercity traffic.

The project specifically benefits producers in the Karakaya, Pişkidağ, and Sarıkaya villages of the Üzümlü district. By facilitating safe passage for both domestic livestock and wildlife, the initiative aims to prevent fatal and injury-causing traffic accidents caused by animals on the roadway.
