Erzurum Commodity Exchange delegation visits TOBB President
A delegation from the Erzurum Commodity Exchange (ETB), led by Chairman Hakan Oral and Assembly President Yavuz Güney, visited M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), in Ankara.
The discussions focused on revitalizing Erzurum's economic potential, supporting production and trade, and improving members' access to financing. Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized the importance of utilizing the Credit Guarantee Fund and low-interest loan opportunities to sustain production.
During the meeting, Hisarcıklıoğlu praised the ETB's project-oriented approach, comparing the institution to a ‘project factory.’ He also noted the historical economic strength of Erzurum, stating that its economy was ahead of Gaziantep's prior to 1960, and urged for better utilization of the region's agriculture and livestock infrastructure.
