Erzurum community organizations hold meetings and face transparency calls

The İzmir Erzurumlular Federasyonu has held its first board meeting, led by General President İshak Ercan Biçer. Operating under the slogan “From the city of foundation, Erzurum, to the city of liberation, İzmir,” the federation aims to preserve Erzurum’s culture and strengthen solidarity among its citizens living in İzmir.

In a separate development regarding Erzurum’s regional promotion, questions have been raised concerning the upcoming “Erzurum Promotion Days” in Ankara. Critics have called for greater financial transparency from the organizing federation, questioning whether the events effectively promote Erzurum’s local businesses and culture or primarily serve to generate revenue through stall sales. Previous events faced criticism for featuring vendors from other provinces rather than local Erzurum producers.
