Erzurum discovery: Mysterious road moves vehicles uphill in neutral

A mysterious 300-meter stretch of road has been discovered near the Konaklı Ski Center in the Palandöken district of Erzurum, Turkey. The phenomenon involves vehicles appearing to move uphill while the engine is off and the gear is in neutral.

Retired faculty member Gürsoy Solmaz and researcher Taner Özdemir identified the phenomenon during field research. They reported that vehicles could reach speeds of up to 60 kilometers per hour while moving spontaneously along the path, even in areas that appear to be flat.

The site bears similarities to the previously known Abdurrahman Gazi mysterious road in the region. Researchers suggest the discovery could serve as a new attraction for local tourism in Erzurum.
