Erzurum establishes new 75 million TL transportation company

The Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality Council has decided to establish a new company, EBB Ulaşım Hizmetleri Anonim Şirketi, to manage the city's public transportation services. The company will have an initial capital of 75 million TL, which will be fully provided by the Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality.

Beyond standard public transit operations, the company is planned to manage fleets, smart transportation systems, and parking services. In related financial decisions, Mayor Mehmet Sekmen was granted authority to utilize 250 million TL in cash credit from İller Bankası for the municipality, as well as 350 million TL in cash and non-cash limits for the municipal subsidiary Er Konut A. Ş.

Additionally, the Council updated public transportation fare schedules, including rural lines, inter-district transport, and student services, to be implemented starting September 15, 2026. Under the new rates, a full city transit fare via Erzurum Kart or QR code will be 35 TL.
