Erzurum food inspectors conduct 458 checks in one week

The Erzurum Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry conducted extensive food safety inspections across the city between September 18 and September 25, 2026. During this one-week period, food controllers inspected a total of 458 establishments, including production, mass consumption, and retail sites.

As part of the risk-based controls, officials collected five food samples for laboratory analysis to ensure compliance with regulations. Additionally, authorities responded to 16 consumer reports and complaints received via the Alo 174 Food Line, performing immediate official checks on the reported businesses. Officials stated that inspections will continue on a 24/7 basis to protect public health and ensure a reliable food supply.
