Erzurum Olgunlaşma Enstitüsü exhibits women's clothing culture

The Erzurum Olgunlaşma Enstitüsü has launched an exhibition titled ‘Han Zarafeti’ (Lady's Elegance) as part of the Turkey Culture Route Festival. The showcase explores women's clothing culture and elegance from the Seljuk period to the present day.

The exhibition features nine stylized outfits, some of which are crafted from traditional materials like ehram and felt. Alongside these garments, the display includes 12 special paintings that interpret Anatolian carpet motifs. These motifs are used to visually represent the emotions, moods, and life experiences of women, such as happiness, sadness, and hope.

Fatma Taşbaşı, Director of the Erzurum Olgunlaşma Enstitüsü, stated that the goal of the project is to introduce the evolution of women's clothing culture and their historical elegance to the public.
