Erzurum Special Education Campus Opens with 40-Class Inclusive Facility

Turkey’s Ministry of National Education has inaugurated a new special‑education campus in Erzurum, the third of its kind after Tokat and Zonguldak under the Turkey Century Education Model. The campus spans 23,000 sqm of land with 11,730 sqm of built‑up area and offers a total capacity of 40 classes. It includes an eight‑class kindergarten for early childhood, special‑education levels I‑III, and a vocational school, all designed for full accessibility. Therapy services such as speech‑language, hydrotherapy, sensory‑integration and physiotherapy are provided on site. An “Application House” houses workshops for cooking, hairdressing, crafts, agriculture and horticulture, supporting students’ independent‑living and vocational skills. Additional facilities include a traffic‑training area, open‑air arena, riding‑therapy zone, poultry farm and sports fields. Families are integrated through expert‑consultation rooms and training sessions, creating a holistic support system that guides students from early childhood through adulthood.
