Erzurum to host 4th Culture Route Festival in August

The Erzurum Culture Route Festival is set to take place from August 15 to August 23, marking the fourth time the city has hosted this event. Organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the festival serves as the 14th stop in the broader Turkey Culture Route Festival series.

The nine-day program features a diverse array of free activities, including concerts by popular artists such as Murat Boz, Sefo, and Oğuzhan Koç. Cultural exhibitions will be held at historic sites like the Çifte Minareli Medrese and Yakutiye Medrese, covering themes such as Ottoman sacred relics and traditional arts like illumination and ceramics.

Gastronomy is a central pillar of the festival, with 39 designated flavor points showcasing Erzurum’s culinary heritage, including specialties like Cağ kebabı and kadayıf dolması. Additionally, the event includes traditional art workshops for crafts such as ebru and carpet weaving, alongside a dedicated children’s village at Olimpiyat Parkı.
