Erzurum: Unidentified graves of seven brothers from 1877-1878 war discovered
In Erzurum, Turkey, the graves of seven brothers who died during the 1877-1878 Ottoman-Russian War, also known as the '93 War', have been brought to attention. The graves are located in a grassy area beneath the Mecidiye Redoubt.
Researcher and author Taner Özdemir, who has documented the site with photographs, noted that while the graves were identified years ago, the identities of the seven individuals remain unknown. Özdemir emphasized the importance of honoring these unnamed soldiers for historical preservation and local heritage, calling for the graves to be properly organized and identified.
