Erzurum Women's Cooperative Exhibits Reliefs of Cağ Kebab and Local Foods

The Kadim Eller Erzurum Kadın Kooperatifi, a women’s cooperative founded about six months ago, brings together 20 artisans under the leadership of Elif Küçükkaya. The group creates cultural products such as jewelry, bags, candles and, most recently, stone‑carved reliefs that depict Erzurum’s signature dishes – cağ kebab, kadayıf dolması and kıtlama çay – as well as an Oltu‑stone rosary.

These reliefs were displayed in the historic Çifte Minareli Medrese, drawing visitors’ attention to the city’s culinary heritage. The cağ kebab relief highlights the dish’s recent ranking as ninth on TasteAtlas’s “100 Best Dishes in the World” list, while the other items carry geographical‑indication status. The cooperative says the exhibition aims to promote Erzurum’s culture and traditional craftsmanship.
