Erzurum's Yakutiye Medresesi hosts respiratory disease summit

The “Respiratory Summit-3 Palandöken” was held at the 716-year-old Yakutiye Medresesi in Erzurum, organized through a collaboration between the Turkish Thorax Society and Atatürk University.

The event brought together domestic and international academic experts to deliver presentations on respiratory and thoracic diseases. Yakutiye Mayor Mahmut Uçar noted the historical significance of the venue, stating that the site was used for discussing medicine, astronomy, theology, and mathematics 700 years ago, making it an appropriate setting for modern medical discussions.

Participants included Honorary Chairs such as Prof. Dr. Abdulhalik Karabulut, local culture and tourism officials, members, and students.
