Erzurumspor FK signs Lawrence Agyekum on loan

Turkish Süper Lig side Erzurumspor FK has signed Ghanaian midfielder Lawrence Agyekum on a season-long loan from Cercle Brugge. The deal includes a €300,000 loan fee and an option for Erzurumspor to make the transfer permanent at the end of the 2026/27 season for €3 million.

The 22-year-old central midfielder joins the newly promoted Turkish club following a period at the Belgian side, where he made 79 appearances, scoring three goals and providing five assists. Agyekum previously played for Red Bull Salzburg and FC Liefering, and began his career at the West African Football Academy in Ghana.

Erzurumspor intends to use the loan period to evaluate Agyekum’s ability to contribute to their campaign in the Turkish top flight. If the option is exercised, Cercle Brugge stands to receive a significant fee, as the player remains under contract with the Belgian club until 2029.
