Esapekka Lappi wins Finnish Rally Championship SM1 title in Kite
Esapekka Lappi and co-driver Enni Mälkönen secured the Finnish Rally Championship in the SM1 class following a dominant performance at the Kite rally. Driving a Skoda for the RTE-Motorsport team, the duo won all eight special stages of the event.
Lappi finished with a 24-second lead over Estonian driver Patrick Enok, who took second place. Lauri Joona finished third, trailing Lappi by 44 seconds. This victory marks Lappi's second consecutive SM1 title and his third overall Finnish championship.
In other categories, Leevi Lassila won the SM2 class, while Roope Hirvos secured the SM3 class championship. The final round of the rally season is scheduled to take place in Porvoo in late September.
