Esat Sivri Secondary School parents protest schedule changes
Parents of students at Esat Sivri Secondary School in the Pamukkale district of Denizli have gathered to protest uncertainties regarding their children's education following reports that the school building is unsafe due to earthquake risks.
Due to the building's condition, authorities have planned to relocate students to the Keziban Ali Çınar Imam Hatip Secondary School. However, parents are expressing frustration over a sudden change in the school schedule. While initial plans suggested a morning session, a recent decision to move students to an afternoon session has caused significant concern.
Parents, particularly those with 8th-grade students preparing for the LGS (High School Entrance System) exams, are demanding that the morning schedule be maintained. They argue that the afternoon shift disrupts study routines, private tutoring, sleep patterns, and family work schedules. Additionally, parents have noted a lack of clear information regarding the final logistics and specific school arrangements just one week before the start of the academic year.
