Esbjerg fB signs Ghanaian striker James Ampofo
Danish second-tier club Esbjerg fB has signed 22-year-old Ghanaian striker James Ampofo. The transfer from Norwegian club Strømsgodset was completed for a fee of €100,000.
Ampofo, a former Ghana youth international, has signed a contract that runs until June 30, 2029. He arrives in Denmark following a period in Norway, which included a loan spell at IK Start and appearances in the Eliteserien and OBOS-ligaen.
Esbjerg Sports Director Sebastian Brydegaard noted that Ampofo brings explosive speed, physical strength, and a direct playing style that is expected to add a new dimension to the team's offense. Ampofo stands at 1.84m and is a right-footed centre-forward.
