Esbjerg sports clubs join national initiative to support youth

Team Esbjerg, EfB, Sport Event Park Esbjerg (SEPE), and Esbjerg Municipality have joined the national initiative ‘Startblokken’ to support young adults who are disconnected from the labor market and education.

Managed by the National Olympic Committee and Sports Confederation of Denmark (DIF), the program utilizes sports communities to foster well-being and employment. The model relies on local collaboration between municipalities, sports clubs, and the business sector. In Esbjerg, both major handball and football clubs are participating, employing two ‘bridge-builders’ to facilitate cooperation between the municipality and the participants.
