Escape film arrives on streaming via A2 Filmes

The South Korean thriller ‘Escape’ (Fuga para a Liberdade) has arrived on digital streaming platforms via A2 Filmes. Directed by Lee Jong-pil, the film follows Kyu-nam, a North Korean sergeant nearing the end of his ten-year military service in the Demilitarized Zone. Seeking a future with more autonomy, Kyu-nam is forced to accelerate his plans for defection to the South after a younger soldier attempts to flee first.

The narrative depicts a high-stakes pursuit as the protagonist must navigate minefields and swamps while being hunted by Hyun-sang, a security official determined to capture him. The film stars Lee Je-hoon and Koo Kyo-hwan, alongside Hong Xa-bin, Jang Young-nam, and Song Kang.

A2 Filmes is also highlighting other upcoming October releases, including the K-pop documentary ‘My SHINee World’, the Jackie Chan film ‘Pand Plan: The Magical Tribe’, and the biographical film ‘Franz’ about writer Franz Kafka.
