Escape Lounge to open at Memphis International Airport
The Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority (MSCAA) has approved a $2.9 million deal to bring an Escape Lounge to Frederick W. Smith International Airport (MEM). The board approved a 12-year lease with England-based CAVU Experiences to establish the lounge in the airport's main rotunda.
The facility is expected to occupy approximately 3,200 square feet, with the potential to expand to 4,900 square feet based on usage triggers. Under the agreement, the airport will receive 8 percent of gross revenue, increasing to 11 percent if annual revenues exceed $4 million. The lounge is intended to offer amenities such as complimentary food and beverages, WiFi, and charging ports, with a menu featuring Memphis-inspired options.
While the project is in its early stages, officials have not yet provided a specific timeline for construction or the official opening date.
