Escena Ambulante completes itinerant theater tour in Aysén

The Agrupación Cultural Malotun Ortiga has successfully completed its fifth itinerant arts tour, titled ‘Escena Ambulante’, across the Aysén Region. The initiative, funded by the National Fund for Performing Arts and the Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Heritage, took place between June 12 and August 7.

The tour visited Chile Chico, Puerto Chacabuco, Balmaceda, and Coyhaique, featuring 16 performances. Eleven of these shows were specifically designed for students, while five were open to the general public. Additionally, two training activities were held to support local performing arts professionals.

Notably, 100% of the participating companies were from the Aysén region, offering a variety of disciplines including theater, oral storytelling, puppetry, and circus arts. Despite facing harsh winter conditions with temperatures dropping to -14 °C and heavy snow, the program maintained significant public attendance.
