Eschwege church donation box stolen by unknown perpetrators

Unknown perpetrators stole a donation box from a church in Eschwege-Niederhone, located in the Werra-Meißner-Kreis. The incident occurred between Monday at 2:00 PM and Tuesday at 11:00 AM at a church on Anger Street.

According to police reports, the thieves initially attempted to force the box open. When that failed, they ripped the container, which was anchored to the wall, out of its mounting and fled. Although the box contained only a small amount of cash, the total damage is estimated to be several hundred euros. Investigators have secured evidence at the scene and are asking witnesses to contact the Eschwege criminal police.
