Escobar Obstetric Day Hospital treats over 50 patients

The Obstetric Day Hospital at the UDP ‘Carlos Guevara’ in Belén de Escobar has treated more than 50 pregnant women in the two months since its inauguration. This municipal service is specifically designed for women in advanced stages of pregnancy, starting from the fifth month, who have not yet begun prenatal checkups or have incomplete medical records.

Patients can access free services during a single visit, including comprehensive obstetric evaluations, laboratory tests, medical ultrasounds, and rapid tests for HIV and syphilis. The facility also provides counseling and guidance to ensure continuous monitoring until childbirth.

The hospital operates on Mondays and Thursdays from 8:00 to 14:00 at Cervantes 635. No prior appointment is required for these services, though patients must fast for at least 10 hours for laboratory work. Additionally, obstetric appointments at local Primary Health Care Centers (CAPS) can be requested via the municipality’s WhatsApp chatbot, Flora.
