Escobar signs Smart City innovation agreement with Hikvision
The municipality of Escobar has signed a four-year strategic cooperation agreement with Hikvision to promote technological innovation and the development of Smart Cities. The agreement was signed in Hangzhou, China, by Escobar Mayor Ariel Sujarchuk and Hikvision CEO Xu Peng.
Under this partnership, Escobar’s Monitoring Center will be transformed into an Innovation Laboratory. This facility will serve as a testing ground for proof-of-concept projects, pilot programs, and demonstration initiatives, allowing municipal teams and Hikvision to test new technologies in real urban environments before scaling them regionally or globally.
The collaboration, endorsed by the Provincial Council of the Knowledge Economy (COPEC), focuses on several key areas: public safety and prevention, mobility and traffic management, environmental monitoring and water management, and the integration of government data into unified real-time visualization platforms.
