Escuela Alemania students to present research in Colombia

Students from Escuela Alemania in Valdivia, Chile, are set to travel to Medellín, Colombia, to present their research project. The team, consisting of students César Rojas and Diego Moreno along with teacher Verónica Arán, earned their accreditation after winning the 10th National ExpoCiencias Chile in Santiago.

The project, titled “Promoción de la vida saludable en la niñez escolar: Un enfoque de la Escuela Alemania de Valdivia,” focuses on diagnosing and promoting better nutrition and physical activity habits among schoolchildren. The research utilized surveys and observations to analyze dietary habits and the impact of ultra-processed foods versus natural options.

The group will represent Chile at the ExpoCiencias Latinoamericana ESI AMLAT 2026, organized by the Latin American chapter of the International Movement for Scientific and Technical Recreation (MILSET).
