Escuela Municipal de Circo Larissa faces relocation

Teachers, families, and students of the Escuela Municipal de Circo Larissa are meeting with municipal authorities to resolve the school's uncertain future. The school currently operates out of the Centro Cultural Gloria Montoya, a space that has been leased to a private entity to develop a gastronomic and cultural hub.

Local authorities have stated that the school cannot continue operating at the Gloria Montoya center because the private concessionaire will control the usage hours of the space. While the school will remain at the center through September, a permanent relocation is necessary. A previous proposal to move the school to Club Catamarca Central was rejected by the community, who argue the facility does not meet the necessary requirements for circus activities.

Community members have expressed significant distress and concern regarding the lack of prior consultation regarding the concession and the potential relocation.
