Escuela Normal de Tilcara prepares for student queen election

Students from the Escuela Normal ‘Dr. Eduardo Casanova’ in Tilcara are preparing to elect their new representative for the 2026 Fiesta Nacional de los Estudiantes. The election is scheduled for Friday, August 14, at 6:00 PM at the Tilcara Municipal Shed.

Fourteen candidates will participate in the event, which will also mark the end of the reign for the current representative, Julieta Camila Chuchuy. To promote the upcoming election, a delegation of students and teachers visited the Jujuy Legislature, where they were received by deputies Patricia Ríos, Yael Navarro, and Mario Lobo.

The visit highlighted the institutional project ‘Todos los cursos unidos en un solo latido, alentando a la ENDEC’, which aims to involve the entire educational community, including parents and alumni, in the festivities. The upcoming national festival schedule includes various activities such as the Student Painting, the Capital Election, and several float parades throughout September.
