Escuinapa, Sinaloa, under surveillance after armed clashes

Authorities in Escuinapa, Sinaloa, have increased surveillance following reports of armed confrontations between groups in several neighborhoods, including the Santa Lucia area.

Members of the Mexican Army responded to reports of clashes and detained seven civilians in flagrante delicto. During the operation, military personnel seized five long weapons, 28 magazines, five tactical vests, seven ballistic plates, and an undetermined quantity of ammunition.

The seized equipment and the detainees have been placed at the disposal of the Attorney General's Office in Mazatlán to proceed with legal investigations. While local reports suggested two bystanders may have been injured, official authorities have not confirmed any casualties or specific injuries.
