Greece postpones electronic invoicing and digital stock monitoring deadlines
The Greek Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) and the Ministry of National Economy and Finance have announced new deadlines for mandatory electronic invoicing and digital stock monitoring. These changes primarily affect businesses with annual turnover of up to €1,000,000.
For these businesses, the mandatory implementation of electronic invoicing is now set to begin on November 2, 2026, followed by a transitional period until January 31, 2027. This delay aims to provide companies with sufficient time for technical and organizational adjustments. Currently, approximately 70% of the potentially affected businesses have already begun using electronic invoicing tools or AADE applications.
Additionally, olive oil producers have received a specific extension. The obligation to issue digital movement documents and transmit data (Phase A) has been postponed to January 1, 2027. This date aligns with the start of Phase B for the digital monitoring of stock movements. This extension is contingent upon olive oil mills issuing quantitative receipt notes upon the arrival of the fruit for those not covered by the first phase of implementation.
