Esencia Vaquera returns to El Rocío with tribute to Antonio Quinta

The fourth edition of Esencia Vaquera returns to El Rocío on Thursday, August 13, at LaFinca El Ranchito in Almonte. The event focuses on regional traditions, featuring a combination of vaquera and classical dressage.

A central highlight of the evening is a tribute to Antonio Quinta, a two-time Spanish champion and international reference in vaquera dressage. The event typically attracts between 4,000 and 5,000 spectators from across Andalusia.

Beyond equestrian displays, the program aims to highlight the biological importance of the Doñana wetlands and local livestock traditions. Specific attention will be given to the Marismeño horse and the native bovine breed of the Doñana Natural Space, both of which are adapted to the unique conditions of the Guadalquivir marshes.
