Esenler implements digital security network for 70 schools
The Esenler Municipality has implemented the ‘Safe City Esenler Project,’ a comprehensive digital security network that integrates 70 local schools into a centralized monitoring system. Developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of National Education, and the Presidency of Defense Industries, the project aims to enhance student safety and improve crisis response.
The infrastructure connects 70 schools, 1,291 streets, and various parks to a central monitoring hub. This system allows for 24/7 surveillance of school entrances and surroundings, enabling early detection of potential risks and rapid coordination with security forces.
All footage is transmitted to the Esenler Smart City and Disaster Coordination Center. Beyond crime prevention and deterrence, the network is designed to support urban management during disasters and crises by facilitating faster decision-making and efficient resource allocation.
