Esenyurt aims to become a thermal tourism and medical center
Project officials are working to develop Esenyurt, Istanbul, into a new center for thermal tourism, health, and accommodation. The initiative focuses on utilizing thermal water resources located in the Kıraç and Saadetdere areas.
The thermal water is sourced from approximately 1,200 meters underground and maintains a temperature of 42 degrees Celsius. According to project official Cihan Aydın, the development plans include the construction of hospitals, thermal hotels, and medical facilities to provide health and accommodation services.
Scientific analyses from the Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine Balneology Laboratory have confirmed the high mineralization of the water. Reports indicate a pH level of 7.57 and significant concentrations of minerals, including sodium and chloride.
