Esenyurt Municipality expands fleet with 50 new vehicles

Esenyurt Municipality has added 50 new vehicles to its fleet to reduce rental costs and improve the efficiency of public resources. Led by Deputy Mayor Can Aksoy, the municipality is prioritizing a purchase model over leasing to strengthen its own assets and ensure long-term savings.

The new vehicles are designated for use by the Support Services, Parks and Gardens, and Science Affairs directorates. Recent deliveries include two panel vans and three pickup trucks, which have already begun field operations.

This expansion follows a previous initiative where 81 official-plated cleaning vehicles were added to the inventory. That fleet, which includes modern garbage trucks and integrated sweeping vehicles, was established with support from the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change and Ilbank credit. The cost of acquiring those 81 vehicles was approximately equivalent to 14 months of rental fees.
