Esenyurt Municipality Launches Child‑Led Clean‑up Campaign “Minik Eller Büyük Değişim”

Esenyurt Municipality organized a community clean‑up event titled “Minik Eller Büyük Değişim” to teach environmental awareness to children. The activity began at the Fehime Özyurt Mosque in the Namık Kemal neighbourhood, where participants put on gloves and cleared streets and shared spaces throughout the district. The children appealed to local merchants and passers‑by to keep the area clean, highlighting the role of small‑age habits in long‑term environmental stewardship.

Municipal officials said the project aims to instill lasting cleaning habits among youngsters and announced that similar awareness activities will continue. Residents expressed gratitude for the initiative, and participant Menderes Çelik praised the mayor’s support and urged the community to maintain a clean environment for future generations.
