Esenyurt police detain man threatening citizens with a knife

In the Esenyurt district of Istanbul, police detained a man who was threatening bystanders with a knife in the Balıkyolu neighborhood. Reports indicate the individual, who reportedly suffers from diabetes, experienced a nervous breakdown and entered the streets brandishing the weapon.

Upon arrival, police officers encountered the suspect attempting to barricade himself inside a parked vehicle. To gain control of the situation, authorities fired shots into the air. The individual was eventually neutralized and taken into custody despite resisting the officers.
