ESET and EVC Group Partner to Boost European Cyber‑Secure Battery Storage

ESET, Europe’s largest cybersecurity vendor, and EVC Group have signed a memorandum of understanding to develop, certify and commercialise a new generation of cyber‑secure battery energy storage systems (CyberSec BESS) for the European market. The partnership was announced on 25 June 2026 at the Intersolar Europe exhibition in Munich and aims to integrate cybersecurity requirements into battery storage design from the outset, complying with current and forthcoming EU regulations.

Both companies stress that the project will combine European system‑integration expertise, cybersecurity know‑how and global battery‑manufacturing capacity to create resilient, high‑performance energy infrastructure. “Battery storage systems are becoming a key part of energy infrastructure and must be designed as secure from the outset,” said Martin Talian of ESET. Oliver Garaj of EVC Group added that the collaboration seeks a “well‑designed systems approach” that delivers security, transparency and long‑term reliability.
