Privacy‑related claims made up about 73 % of reports, while cyber‑extortion accounted for roughly 15 % and third‑party supply‑chain issues 14 %. The industrial sector generated the largest share of claims (around 20 %). Analysts stress that firms must improve resilience, comply with GDPR and the new NIS2 directive, and consider cyber‑insurance to manage financial fallout.
