ESGIN Global Partners Launch Green Economy Project in Lampung
PT ESGIN Global Partners, represented by Vice President and Indonesia Regional Head Yayang Ruzaldy, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Lampung provincial chapter of the Himpunan Kerukunan Tani Indonesia (HKTI) and the Perhimpunan Pengusaha Tepung Tapioka Indonesia (PPTTI). The MoU establishes a green‑economy ecosystem that links cassava farming and tapioca‑flour processing with digital monitoring, carbon‑credit financing and renewable‑energy technologies.
The pilot will focus on climate‑smart agriculture practices such as biochar application and alternate wetting‑and‑drying, as well as a methane‑removal project that converts waste water from tapioca factories into biogas. Lampung was chosen because it produces about 7.5 million tonnes of cassava annually, providing a strong base for a national model that aims to boost farmer incomes, improve industrial competitiveness and support Indonesia’s net‑zero emissions target.
