České Budějovice residents vote on 27 participatory budget projects

Residents of České Budějovice have begun voting on 27 proposed projects as part of the city’s participatory budgeting initiative. The voting process, which started on October 1, allows citizens aged 15 and older with permanent residency to influence local improvements in areas such as sports, safety, relaxation, and public space revitalization.

From a record 73 initial submissions, 27 feasible projects have reached the final stage. The city has allocated 10 million CZK, including VAT, to implement the winning proposals. Residents can cast up to two positive votes and one negative vote via an online platform, with results expected in November.
