Český Krumlov defeats Slavia České Budějovice 5-1 in MOL Cup

On 1 August, FK Slavoj Český Krumlov beat SK Slavia České Budějovice 5‑1 in the first round of the Czech MOL Cup at Slavia's home ground. The visitors opened the scoring in the eighth minute, and despite a brief equaliser, Krumlov surged ahead with goals from Jakub Kabele, Ondřej Matuška, and a brace by Polanský, finishing the match 5‑1.

The win secured Krumlov's progression to the next round of the competition. Coach Zdeněk Šváb praised his side's resilience, noting the hot conditions and the team's ability to overturn the early deficit. Slavia coach Radomil Procházka acknowledged the opponent's superior level, calling the result a harsh lesson for his squad. The match was attended by about 460 spectators.
