Český Krumlov elections bring significant changes to local assembly

Municipal elections in Český Krumlov have resulted in a significant shift in the local assembly, with nearly 60 percent of the 23 seats being filled by new faces. While the ANO movement maintained its previous result of five seats, including the reelection of Mayor Alexander Nogrády, the new party Vize pro Krumlov also secured five mandates.

Naděžda Perníková, representing Vize pro Krumlov, is currently leading negotiations to form a coalition and has expressed readiness to serve as the city's first female mayor if successful. Other political groups, including Naše Česko with three seats and Koalice Český Krumlov with three seats, will also participate in the formation of the new leadership. A coalition will require at least 12 seats to govern.
