Český Krumlov police seek passenger after bus vandalism

Police in Český Krumlov are investigating the vandalism of a bus rear window that occurred on Thursday, September 10. The incident took place between 21:40 and 21:48 on a route from the Špičák stop toward the Nemocniční street bus station.

Investigators determined that the perpetrator likely used an emergency hammer, a standard safety tool found on buses, to break the glass. The estimated damage is at least 80,000 CZK. If caught and convicted, the perpetrator faces up to one year in prison.

Authorities have released a photograph of a male passenger who was the last to exit the bus and spoke to the driver to report the damage. While police have the image, they have not yet identified the individual and are requesting public assistance to help identify him.
