Česká televize to produce new teen comedy series G. O. A. T

Česká televize is developing a new six-part comedy series titled "G. O. A. T.", directed by Adina Šulcová and Jan Vejnar. The series follows a group of cheerleaders in a small town attempting to balance school, social lives, and athletic competitions.

The plot involves a mysterious chatbot that promises to fulfill the characters' wishes without effort, triggering a chain of events with an unexpected cost. Creative producer Luděk Horký describes the series as a "camp" production, using an aesthetic of intentional exaggeration to parody American teen dramas and clichés within a Czech setting.

Co-director and screenwriter Adina Šulcová stated that the theme focuses on the desire to be the "Greatest Of All Time" and the pitfalls of seeking perfection. The series aims to reflect the influence of social media and online environments on the psychology of Generation Z. The premiere is scheduled for next year.
