Eskişehir City Hospital expands women's health services

Eskişehir City Hospital has expanded its specialized healthcare offerings by adding a Menopause Clinic to its existing Urogynecology Clinic, which has been operational for approximately 1.5 years. The multidisciplinary approach aims to improve women's quality of life by addressing issues such as urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and menopause symptoms.

Led by Obstetrician and Gynecologist Dr. Keziban Saylam Dönmez, the urogynacology services provide both medical and surgical treatments. The process begins with patient education in dedicated training rooms, where small groups receive behavioral therapy and pelvic floor rehabilitation. The medical team coordinates with dietitians, obesity centers, and smoking cessation units to provide holistic care.

Physiotherapist Emine Aşıcı emphasized that pelvic floor health involves more than just Kegel exercises. The hospital implements individualized programs focusing on body awareness, strengthening, relaxation, and stabilization to manage pelvic health effectively.
