Eskişehir City Hospital performs first V-NOTES surgery

Eskişehir City Hospital has successfully performed the first Transvaginal Endoscopic Surgery via Natural Orifices (V-NOTES) at its facility. The procedure was conducted by a team including Obstetrics and Gynecology Specialist Dr. Keziban Saylam Dönmez and Gynecological Oncology Surgery Specialist Dr. Duygu Kavak.

The V-NOTES method is a next-generation surgical technique that leaves no external incisions on the abdomen. It was utilized on a patient suffering from prolonged bleeding who had not responded to medical treatments. Unlike traditional open surgery or laparoscopic methods that require abdominal incisions and trocars, this technique uses natural orifices to maximize patient comfort and accelerate recovery.
