Regarding soil, İlk recommends using high-quality, fertilized soil rather than low-quality market varieties, which can attract pests like worms or flies. He suggests that potted plant soil should be replaced every six months to maintain plant health.

For care specifics, İlk distinguishes between cut flowers and potted plants. Cut flowers require vase water to be changed every two days and stems to be trimmed slightly, while being kept in cool areas away from direct sunlight. For potted plants, he advises that even sun-loving species should avoid direct light through glass windows and are better suited for balconies or gardens.
