Eskişehir Food Vibe Fest faces crisis after concert cancellations
The Food Vibe Fest in Eskişehir, Turkey, has descended into chaos following the cancellation of headline performances by artists Ceza and İrem Derici. Both musicians announced via social media that they would not perform because the organizing firm failed to meet its responsibilities.
The cancellations have caused significant financial distress for vendors who traveled from various provinces, including Adana and Antalya, to set up stalls. Vendors reported substantial losses, with some claiming damages ranging from 100,000 to 250,000 Turkish Liras due to low attendance, lack of promised electricity and generator support, and spoiled goods.
Following protests from the affected vendors, police intervened and took the event organizer, identified as E. Ü., to a local police station for questioning. An investigation into the matter is ongoing.
