Eskişehir hosts inaugural Porsuk Festival attracting 100,000 attendees

The inaugural Porsuk Festival in Eskişehir, Turkey, concluded after a five-day program featuring a wide array of cultural and artistic activities. Organized by the Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality as part of the ‘2026 Eskişehir Year’ preparations, the event drew approximately 100,000 attendees from the city and surrounding provinces.

The festival included performances from 136 artists representing 21 countries. The diverse programming spanned music, theater, dance, cinema, and sports. Highlights included outdoor film screenings at the ‘River Cinema,’ various theatrical plays such as ‘Dalgakıran’ and ‘Nora 2,’ and interactive improvisational shows.

The event concluded at Kentpark with a final performance by the Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Orçun Orçunsel, featuring a symphonic concert by the band Mor ve Ötesi. Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ayşe Ünlüce expressed gratitude to the citizens for their participation and for showcasing the city’s culture and hospitality.
