Eskişehir increases student dormitory capacity to 18,500

Eskişehir Provincial Director of Youth and Sports, Hasan Kalın, announced that student dormitory capacity in the city will increase to 18,500 following the completion of a new 2,000-capacity facility in October.

Currently, the city provides 16,500 beds, with 5,500 vacancies available for new students. Kalın noted that the current capacity is expected to accommodate nearly 99 percent of applicants. The total investment for maintenance and renovations over the summer exceeded 30 million TL, with approximately 20 million TL specifically allocated to systemic and physical repairs, including heating and elevator systems.

Dormitory fees for the upcoming term have been set between 1,125 TL and 1,450 TL. Officials stated that the facilities are being prepared to ensure all services are fully operational for the new academic year.
