Eskişehir lavender garden hosts public harvesting event

In Eskişehir, retired mechanical engineer Erhan İnan is hosting a “bring your own scissors, take your flowers” event at his lavender garden. Now in its fifth year, the garden has seen a vibrant bloom due to abundant rainfall.

İnan, who turned to farming during his retirement, decided to offer the harvest to the public rather than leaving it in the fields due to high production costs. Participants are invited to harvest as much lavender as they wish to use for making tea, sachets, or other products. The lavender is also used to produce various items such as creams, perfumes, and jams.
