Eskişehir leaders discuss industrial growth and high-tech exports

Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz met with members of the Eskişehir Development Platform to discuss the city's economic future and industrial potential. During the meeting, AK Party Eskişehir Deputy Fatih Dönmez highlighted that the city has become a vital production hub for Turkey, boasting sectors such as defense, aviation, railway systems, machinery, ceramics, mining, and automotive.

Dönmez reported that Eskişehir achieved $4.8 billion in exports last year, noting that the city maintains a trade surplus rather than a deficit. The strategic goal is to transition Eskişehir from a manufacturing center to a high-tech hub that designs, patents, and brands its own products for global markets.

AK Party Eskişehir Provincial Chairman Gürhan Albayrak stated that the platform, established a year ago to unite the city's various stakeholders, has successfully brought together government officials, local authorities, and business leaders. Discussions focused on irrigation, transportation, logistics, new industrial zones, agricultural productivity, tourism, and high technology.
